Accardi Barbell Club is a Victorian and AWF-affiliated club that proudly serves Melbourne's northern suburbs. Our mission is to create a fun and supportive training environment for anyone interested in learning the Olympic lifts or developing their strength and power.

We welcome both non-competitive and competitive lifters, from beginners to club levels those competing at the national and international levels. Our experienced coaches are dedicated to supporting athletes of all skill levels, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone's goals are valued and encouraged.

Common FAQ’s

What are the gym's operating hours?

Our gym is open from 4-8 pm to Monday through Thursday (4-7 pm on Fridays), and from 8 - 9 am on Saturdays with Team Training at 10 am - 12 pm.

Outside the above coached sessions, the gym is available for PT and small private sessions via booking only.

Can I try a weightlifting session before committing to a membership?

Yes, we offer trial sessions for new members to experience our weightlifting classes before committing to a membership. Please contact us to arrange a trial session.

Do I need prior experience to join a weightlifting session?

No prior experience is necessary. We offer sessions for all skill levels, including beginners, intermediates, and advanced lifters.

Online Coaching

Maximise your training with adaptive programming and an experienced coach. When you sign up for online coaching you’ll receive feedback on your training while your coach adjusts your program based on your experience to ensure you are getting the most out of your training Over time, as our coaches learn how you respond to different cues, progressions and feedback, your program will become more individualised to what you need.

Workshops

Our technique workshops are designed to enhance movement efficiency and skill for both weightlifting and CrossFit. You'll be provided with opportunity to refine your movement, improve your understanding of the lifts, and increase your capacity to lift heavier weights while reducing the risk of injury. The workshops cover a range of weightlifting movements including snatch, clean and jerk, plyometrics, and other accessories, providing a comprehensive understanding of Olympic Weightlifting techniques. These workshops are led by AWF Level 2 Weightlifting Coach Brandon Accardi our workshops can be held at our facility or your location.

  • Learn fundamentals of weightlifting technique

  • Understand how to perform weightlifting techniques and the basics of barbell training

  • Improve movement efficiency and reduce the risk of injury

  • Designed for CrossFit competitors, school excursions, sports teams, or personal trainers/exercise professionals

Our Year 10 ASE students had an incredible Olympic Lifting excursion to Accardi Barbell Club this week. Students were introduced to Olympic weightlifting techniques and training methods, enhancing their knowledge and applying it to their own strength programs. It was a fantastic experience to boost their fitness journey!
